Richard began in finance in 2001 while completing his Business and Finance degree. He was introduced to credit policy with PR Finance Pty Ltd, and was fortunate to get a good understanding on what banks and financiers look for when assessing an application.

On completion of his degree, he was employed with Adenbrook Homes, gaining an exclusive insight to the building industry. He then found he was given the opportunity to learn the principles of mortgage broking and spent 2 years with Palladium Financial Services, before taking up a role with Royal Bank of Scotland and Bank of America in London. In these roles Richard gained experience in lending practices on a corporate level. Upon returning to in Australia in 2008 Richard saw an opportunity to combined his finance and building knowledge to focus heavily on construction finance, aiming to make the process a smooth one for clients and building companies alike. He has also completed his Diploma in Financial Planning and Certificate IV in Mortgage Broking. At this point he started Lion Financial, and continues to focus on his passion, assisting people in making wise finance decisions for their financial future.
